Amazon has apparently corrected the packaging issue. Our cage arrived with the outer cardboard packaging ripped and torn in several places however, every cage piece and part was wrapped separately and in "bubble wrap". Not a single bent part or scratch anywhere. Assembly was quick and easy. The instructions do reference three "top bars" which our package did not contain. Apparently our model of cage did not need them. We own several large cages for our parrots and this one appears to be very well designed and constructed.
